How to research a developer in Abu Dhabi
Make sure you are dealing with the genuine developer
Fake and look-alike websites are common. Reach the developer through a channel you trust, such as the Developer Connects advisory team, rather than a search ad or a link someone sent you.
Check the project with the regulator
Confirm the project is registered with the real estate regulator for its location, and that the developer named in the registration is the one you are dealing with.
Go through someone who knows the market, early
Pricing, payment plans and availability move fast, and buyers who wait often hear about a good unit after it is gone. Tell Developer Connects what you need and a property specialist will come back to you with what is available now, so you decide with the facts in front of you instead of finding out too late.
Get every term in writing
Ask for the price, payment schedule, possession or handover date and all charges in writing, and read the sale agreement in full before you sign. Consider independent legal advice.
Pay only into the project's official account
Make payments only into the bank account named in your signed agreement for that project. Never pay into a personal account, and be wary of urgent requests to pay.
Check the project with the regulator
Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC)
Real estate in Abu Dhabi is regulated by the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre. Check the developer and project with ADREC's official channels before paying anything.
Visit the regulator's official website ↗For off-plan property, pay only into the project's escrow account named in your sale agreement — never into a personal account or one you were sent by message.
Frequently asked questions
How do developers sell new homes in Abu Dhabi?
Yes. Developers in Abu Dhabi sell new and off-plan homes through their own sales teams, and Developer Connects can help you connect with the developer.
How do I compare the real cost of a purchase?
Prices, offers and payment plans come from the developer's sales team, so ask for the current figures in writing. Whichever route you take, ask about any fees and compare the final, all-in cost.
How do I know I am on the developer's real website?

How do I check a project is genuine in Abu Dhabi?
Real estate in Abu Dhabi is regulated by the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre. Check the developer and project with ADREC's official channels before paying anything.
